That drug that gave you the hives…your father’s old blood pressure medication…the motion sickness pills you bought for your cruise …three years ago. If you look in your medicine cabinet, chances are you’ll find medications that are expired or that you no longer use or need. You’d feel better having it out of the house – but you know flushing it or tossing it down the drain is not safe or good for the environment.

Fortunately, you can now return these materials to a pharmacy in your community through Orange Drop. When you drop-off your pharmaceuticals, you’ll not only ensure they’re disposed of properly – you’ll also keep them out of the wrong hands, preventing abuse or accidental ingestion – and protecting our environment in the process.

What's included?

Orange Drop covers pharmaceuticals for both humans and pets, including prescription medications, such as analgesics, antidepressants, and blood pressure medicine in pill, capsule, liquid or cream form, and over-the-counter medications, including topical antibiotic and antifungal creams. Natural health products or NHPs that are orally ingested, such as vitamins and minerals, traditional Chinese medicines, herbal products, probiotics, amino acids, homeopathic medicines and the like are also included.

Most pharmacies have already been collecting expired or unused medications. With Orange Drop, we’re hoping even more pharmacies will join our collection network, making it easier than ever before for you to unwaste your space.

It's time to Make the Drop – Orange Drop!
